Apple Logic Pro /LogicExpress Discussion

I had used Finale (full version for several years, it required 5 manuals (combined 2-3 inches thick) and it was so difficult to find what I needed.  I was able to get into Sibelius in a few minutes on the demo copy.

I'm tempted.

  Hi...

  I am new to the group so to introduce myself.. I am a composer in New 
  Zealand and have recently moved to a MAC environment and purchased 
  Logic Studio (v8) to start learning a new compositional environment. 
  Primarily, but not solely, for doing quality mock ups of some of my 
  compositions and doing a little integrated live & electronic stuff. 
  I am bound to ask a few dumb questions being a Logic virgin but that 
  is fine.

  I have used both Finale and Sibelius and my personal choice is 
  Sibelius.. There is not much that one can do that the other can't 
  (even if you occasionally have to figure out workarounds - applicable 
  to both applications) but I moved from Finale to Sibelius and have 
  found Sibelius suits my work habits best. I also found it way way 
  easier to learn and pick up as a tool. I have never regretted the 
  move for a minute. As mentioned there are really strong supporters 
  of both camps so I guess it is what best suits your work habits and 
  processes etc but if fast learning and getting productive quickly is a 
  criteria my vote is for Sibelius every time..
