Apple Logic Pro /LogicExpress Discussion

Hello Folks,

I have recently moved to mac after using a roland 2480. Thing is I bought a tascam fw so I could do this - all seems to work ok er - ish. Totally new to this; I have no problem getting mike signal to record - it's the guitar that wont go in. I need to know the basics - ie - How do I get it to record on a certain input - the manual is hopeless if you have a mac, and as far as I can see tells you nothing about what to do to route a signal. Got mike in xlr 1 -

tried guitars in various - oh yeah- it worked once - total fluke though. Anyone got a walk through step by step for British idiot???
