Hello Mike, I had to do this live recently. I wanted a long sustain, and a slower attack than even a plucked fretless bass. I played my fretless Jerry Bix and tried both a volume pedal and a Boss effects pedal I was leant by a guitarist friend that was effectively a slow opening gate, that "bowed" the note in. Like pulling the volume knob up on a bass after plucking the note, only automated. In the end I went with a Boss compressor followed by the volume pedal as it was more controllable. I can't recall the name of the Boss pedal, but I think it was something obtuse like "Slow Gear" ! -- Best Wishes Steve Coates Listen to The Drop at; http://www.TheDrop.biz On 26 Jan 2009, at 20:16, Mike Hyland wrote: > This really isn't Logic specific, but that is what I'm using....
