Re: [Logic_Cafe] Re: No output sound with Fast Track Pro

2009-08-14 by Andy Brook

Thanks Rob. Since posting that message I found out that I can't have
the output through my mac headphones, the input and output both have
to be through the fast track. I then found that connecting the fast
track after loading up logic made it work. Now I can hear everything
and record audio, although the line input has to be set very high to
make it work. I'm using a Shure SM58 mic and an XLR cable. I'm such a
novice that I'm not even sure if I should use phantom power, although
it doesn't seem to make much difference either way. I used to have a
similar problem getting enough input volume on my BOSS BR 1600
recording unit. Must be something I'm doing wrong but for the life of
me I can't work it out and google isn't helping either. I got the A/B
switch right, at least!
