Ok Greg...I tried your suggestions and here's exactly what happened: 1. While in Audio-Midi Utility I tested an Icon that represents my Motu 828 mk3. There are two arrows on that Icon that represent the In/Out. When I click on the Out arrow (Left arrow facing down),the Midi activity indicator on the LCD of my MOTU interface lights up, but there is no sound. When I touch a key on my keyboard the right arrow blinks(arrow facing up) and the LCD lights up again...but I get a tone that sounds like a Mac computer alert(not a tone generated from my keyboard). What does that mean? 2. I tried moving a midi sequence to a softsynth and it does sound. All internal sounds come through the headphones...it's the external instrument i'm having trouble hearing. 3. There is midi activity going out, as indicated by the monitor on the transport. 4. If by port numbers you mean selecting my interface in the inspector, yes it is properly assigned. 5. I have'nt changed the midi cables yet...but if there is midi activity in/out, is it necessary. 6. Hardware is properly set to receive midi...I quadruple checked it. 7. I put the headphones directly into the keyboard and it does come through...I hear it, so it still works. Thanks, I appreciate all your help. --- In Logic_Cafe@yahoogroups.com, GAmoore@... wrote: > > A few suggestions : > > 1.
