Not sure what you've tried, but if it didn't include an actions recorder or automation program like QuicKeys (http://www.startly.com/products/quickeys/mac/4/), AppleScript or maybe even Automator in conjunction with something like an audio recorder like Audio Hijack or Wiretap, perhaps with an AU look-ahead limiter in front, I suggest to explore that route. Audio Hijack allows audio plugins and is Applescriptable, and you'll probably find it easier (and cheaper) to find and hire an Applescripter, if that's what you need, than a full-on app developer. Good luck; I'd be interested to hear what finally works! dpc On May 22, 2010, at 6:39 PM, conslaw2 wrote: > > > Hi ladies and gentleman, > > Sorry to ask here but I've tried the obvious with no luck! :-( > > > > I want to get software, for mac, that will record audio to mp3, from > > either and internal mic or a USB audio device (I need to be able to > > switch) but I need a few little added features , all of which I can > > find in different mp3 recorders but not all together in the same > one :-( > > I need: > > 1) The ability to name the recording before I start > > 2) a key command I can hit mid recording that will, in effect, end > > that recording and immediately start a new, sequentially numbered > one > > 3) The ability once the recording is done to either send to > something > > to burn as audio or to ftp to a server > > 4) Some kind of audio input monitoring, preferably with an overload > > warning in case the record levels are clipping > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
