Don't use performer so not sure what you mean by Tap Tempo but in Logic 9 there are ways of "Beat Matching" So if that is what you want yep it can be done.. You can manually adjust the music or used a beat mapping to a "master" track feature which is a little more automated but will likely need a little adjustment. It is not hard but you probably need to check the doco's to see the process as explaining them and the options here would take a little time..
