Yes, it sounds great and, yes, it works perfectly... with Protools.

No, it didn't work well with Logic in OS9, not even with a 3rd party driver.

In OSX it sometimes worked ok with buffer settings of no lower than 512 
or 1024, IIRC. But usually not - I was plagued by distorted sound, as if 
the gain had increased by 300%. The Digidesign coreaudio driver doesn't 
have a great reputation.

Or should I say "didn't"...? All may be well by now. Dunno, cos I got 
tired of having no audio, and have been very happy for the last few 
months with a MOTU 828mkII.

Fortunately, you've already got an Mbox, so you're in a position to try 
it out for yourself. :-)
