Re: [Logic_Cafe] Brass Libraries and mBox

2005-01-19 by Samuel Gendler

I've had no problems. When I first started using it
with logic, I, too, got distorted sound, presumably
because of a frequency mismatch of some kind. I don't
really understand how I'm supposed to interact with
the Digidesign CoreAudio Manager, but I eventually got
it to stop happening. I can't say exactly what I did,
though. You'll definitely want the latest version of
the CoreAudio Manager, though. One thing, I find I
have to load a different app that uses the core audio
manager, then load logic. If I boot up and run Logic
as the first app, I'll have distorted audio again.

I can't claim to be happy with the way I have to
interact with the CoreAudio Manager (and don't really
understand why I need ti running at all times,
amyway), but ti does function with no problems, at any
latency setting in Logic, and the sound quality is
fine.
