Apple Logic Pro /LogicExpress Discussion

Hi,

I am still a hardened Logic 5.5 Windows user and am curious 
about 'syncing'external audio programs to Logic.

Without knowing 100% , I think windows Logic can only use Rewire 1, 
if I want to sync Reason to Logic.

If anyone can confirm , I would appreciate...

The next one is ???? Can you sync say acid or any other 'wave 
driver' type programs to Logic.

I am not worried about the audio actually having to 'pass' thru 
Logic, as I have a Creamware Sound card which enables me to cable 
the external program into Logic OR I can 'record' the 'wave' device 
into logic.

Its really the 'syncing' that I am curious about. ie: How the get 
both Logic and the external program starting and stopping together?

Any ideas / thoughts / solutions , would be appreciated .
