Gaps in EXS24

Gaps in EXS24

2007-05-29 by zielvis

Hello Everybody,

I recently noticed that there are gaps in drum kits in EXS24... I
mean there are keys that do not play even though adjacent ones have
their samples. I'm not sure if it was so earlier but I have a strange
feeling that my EXS lost some of the sounds... Moreover there is not
a single sound when I play one of the instruments which - I'm pretty
sure - used to work properly (it's something called like "clouds" as
far as I remember).

My question is: have You experienced something like EXS losing the
samples? And is it possible to install only this sampler with its
samples resources from the Logic CD without touching the whole
program itself?

I'm not a very experienced in Logic and Mac in general so maybe the
last question was stupid... But I'd like to hear from You before I
start experimenting. By the way - the same question about Apple Loops
Utility: I'd like to reinstall it because every third time when I use
it, it sees no waveform (or sees an audio clip as blank).

All advice will be highly appreciated! Thanks,

Marcin

AFAIR this question was answered a week or 2 ago here on this list, so you
might want to check the archives. In addition to what was already said, I
think you can rescan all your HDs with project manager.

Best,

Andy

Thanks for Your reply Andy.

I read the topic You are probably refering to before, but I think
it's not very useful in my situation - I use Logic Express which does
not have Project Manager at all. So: it's impossible that it was that
"big bad creature" which ate my samples and so it's not possible for
me to scan my discs with it...

Any other options?

Regards,

Marcin

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
