Apple Logic Pro /LogicExpress Discussion

Using Logic Express 7.2 on a G4 - can get audio through  - but can't  
get midi to play - after loading a midi-file The file plays through  
Quick time player - but I can;t get a sound out - using ST Audio  
sound card with a ADC/DAC 2000  outboard unit - Logic express has  
recognised the St Audio drivers - where do I go from here?? Thanks

When your MIDI in Logic is playing, look at the transport, is there MIDI information being 
displayed?  

Make sure your MIDI information is on an INSTRUMENT track, and that for the INPUT you 
have assigned a virtual instrument (ES1, EXSP24, ESE, etc).

If you use a MIDI track, that would require you to have an external sound generator (synth, 
drum machine, etc.) hooked up and the sound would be accessed via that generators 
analog output/s.  Of course you'd have to have the MIDI cables connected correctly, and 
the MIDI channels assigned properly for this scenario.

I am using Logic 7.1 and in the online reference it says there is a 
'nudge midi' channel key command. However, I find no such command in 
the key command window.

I really wish there were a channel tool like the velocity tool so you 
could change the midi channel of individual notes in the matrix editor
