Kontakt 2

2008-01-17 by HKC

I am in the middle of a project where parts of it is recorded in a home studio using Cubase. The project was started in my studio using Logic 8 and EXS24 but then the client ran out of money and wanted to do all the midi stuff at home.
The move from Logic to Cubase didn't cause any problems but there is one small problem.
There are some midi drumtracks and the problem is that while Kontakt 2 opens the EXS files very well it doesn't create a mute group for the hihats which means that an open hihat isn't cut off by the following hihat so suddenly we have 2 hihats going on. Surely there must be a way to create such a group in Kontakt 2......

I believe Battery can do mute groups. And I think Battery reads many of the
files K2 can. You might try opening the EXS files in Battery.

Weren't you teaching math in Holland? Are you doing studio work now?

I'm Danish and I have never been teaching math i Holland. The guy has Kontakt 2 so Battery is not really an option but I'm sure there must be a way to create mutegroups in Kontakt 2.
