FYI-Using Waveburner to Create CDs With Seamless Track ID#s

2008-09-16 by pete_buchwald

Group,

It seems like some time ago, somebody raised the question: How can I create a burned
CD, say of a "Book on CD" where the hour long narrative never ceases, but yet put different
track numbers at 5 minute increments (for example).

I just did this with Waveburner for a lecture at my university. The lecture lasted just
over an hour, so this ability of WB came in handy.

    1. Pull the file into a new WB session.

    2. The interface has an upper wave form image and a lower. In the lower image, use
the scissor tool to make a cut where you want a new CD track to be identified.

    3. After all the cuts are made, select Burn CD (not bounce mix).

    4. Put the CD in a player and listen/watch the track numbers change as the audio
continues.

I love it! Try to do THAT with your darn "industry standard" software.

         Pete
