Apple Logic Pro /LogicExpress Discussion

Hi. I have a major tech problem! Got update drivers for Tascam with logic. it worked ok before but the firewire was tempromental and would take several boot ups to kick in. After I got down load it seemed to pick up fire wire ever time. was working fine last night and today. AND THEN TONIGHT....nothing. Sound in headphones went very strange - but sound on monitors was ok. Then as I was bouncing tracks down it all went off. Wouldn't find tascam. nothing from speakers. or headphones. Rebooted imac, tascam. nothing. removed tascam drivers and reinstalled. did firmware. then it told me no classic enviorenment. wouldnt find tascam. and finally after tascam reboot, every single light on the desk stayed on - like a christmas tree and will not go off. It will not highligt tascam in audio properties. the tascam will not boot up without all the lights showing...and i dont know how to reset it. So now i can look at logic pro and watch the sound lightss move up and down - but cant use it at all. please help

I'm also using a Tascam FW-1884 with all of the current drivers, and  
I'm not having any trouble. It seems like you've done all of the  
correct things to troubleshoot this problem. Is the problem still  
persisting? I hate to say it, but it's always possible that your  
hardware has gone bad and needs to be serviced.
