Mellotron-Fever is quite infectious too. It begins with goose-bumps on both arms at early age upon hearing "that sound." And continues well into middle-age. ....and possibly beyond...... Further complications are attempts to own one of each model, own every sound in the tape library, and listening to the favorite tunes over 1000X . Also frequent mutterings about who played what/when. .....Sound familiar, gang?? There is no known cure for Mellotron-Fever,thankfully ! I myself caught "canal-fever" in late 2001, commencing to explore/hike old towpath canals in the Northeast USA. It developed in much the same way as Mellotron-Fever. Collecting memorabilia, reading books on canals, seeking-out experts , then taking oneself back to 1850 , muttering old canaller's songs whilst getting full of briars/brambles. Cheers, the incurable lover of yesteryear.......Jerry K.
