Track Blending Returns

Track Blending Returns

2005-08-23 by tronbros@aol.com

Dear All,

Within days, all tapes supplied by Streetly will have proper track blending
reinstated just like Streetly tapes of old. No more suck out zone between A
and B, B and C but a nice loud continuous signal. This unique feature of Les
Bradley's tapes died when the Mothertron died nearly 20 years ago. What
better than EMI tape recorded at the correct mellotron azimuth with clear
blending of tracks. You lucky, lucky bastards!

Cheerfully,

Martin.

So does that mean we can send our previously purchased tapes back to
you for regrooving?

:-)

Like all multi-national industrial conglomerates with offices around the
globe, Streetly has a policy of continuous improvement with no recourse and you
should rejoice in that Tom!

It's nice to see a retro product supported by forward thinkers.

Please talk to the powers that be in the UK to improve the
dollar/pound exchange rate so we can order more tape frames.
We'll do our part by impeaching Bush.....

Great, I wanna trade in my old tapes for some new good ones. What's the
warranty?

Martin old pal,

How did you achieve this feat without the Mothertron? Did you and JB break into the museum?

I never really had much of a problem with this on my M400, since the selector is kind of continuous and you can put it wherever you want between tracks (or even blend as you play). However, it's been an issue with my MKII, since there are specific stopping points between the tracks when you push a selector button. Will this problem go away on the MKII with the new tapes? If so, quite an accomplishment. I'm still curious as to how you did it. No more "suck out" zone between tracks. I want these new tapes that don't suck.

Hi!

Been away here for awhile and just catching up on the list.

I just wanted to inform that Mellotron Archives has used a custom made wide track recording headstack for the last 2 years. Anyone ordering tapes from Mellotron Archives since then has benefited from the optimum track blending capabilities and correct Mellotron azimuth of our tapes.

Coming back from summer vacation I am happy to inform that we have the MkVIII Mellotron for custom order delivery. Like someone mentioned some time ago concerning the MkIIx postings the MkVIII is a single-manual 10 station Mellotron in solid mahagony, walnut, oak or custom color finish. This means 30 sounds available at your fingertips. Isn't modern technology amazing!!

Best

Markus

Hey hey Markus...
Welcome back from your vacation...
This is wonderful news...single manual, 30 sounds !
No more embarrasing pauses at gigs because you just have to have the wineglasses for the middle eight on the last song...
Will this mean that I´ll have to lay off my tape frame changing intern at the studio ?
But the big question is of course....How much are they ?
