Progfest '94 DVD

Progfest '94 DVD

2006-06-01 by J.P.

Hi Gang...
I was talking to Greg Walker about this very thing the other day. He told me that Musea wants to re-release the Progfest '94 video on DVD However, the master tape is in other hands, and in storage with other tapes right now. As soon as Musea can get a hold of the tapes, they'll release a DVD of the Progfest '94 video I didn't ask him about a complete performance of any group (I'd like a complete performance of Anekdoten, thank you...), so I'm guessing that the DVD will match up with the CD release... which is pretty damn good!
...Hope this helps...

Mk VI for sale on Craigslist

2006-06-02 by John Hofmeyer

I spoke with the seller last night. Sounds as if he'd like
to unload this pretty soon. Comes with 1 tape rack and a
case - asking $3500.

Hi John, Thanks for the link. That's actually a VERY good price
including the case. Is he "trading-up" for a new model from either
Markus or Streetly ??

Cheers, --JK-- (stuck w. same old body/chassis . Can't trade-up )

In today's keyboard market, the word "vintage" apparently means "not a
computer in a plastic box".

No, in Mellotron terminology, "vintage" means that wine has been spilled
inside of it. So as can bee seen, we can conceivably have a 2002 Mark VI,
vintage 2004, the vintage denoting what year the wine was introduced into the
Mellotron. We can further detail the information by adding whether the spilled
wine was from a corked bottle, or one with a screw cap. One final detail is to
discern whether or not the "vintagization" of the Mellotron was by spilled
wine or by a proper vomit christening while leaning in to change tape frames.

I hope this properly "clarifies" this for one and all.

Funny - I wasn't going to mention the 'vintage' descriptor, I
figured someone on this list would jump on that.

The term 'vintage' is thrown around so much on instrument
descriptions. I shop around for snare drums and often find
something described as 'vintage' - which usually translates
to 'unkept piece of trash'.

I admit, though, the price is right - and I could probably
work something out with the seller. Unfortunately, I'm
anticipating the arrival of an M400 any day now...

The replacement SMS controller arrived last week - the M400
must be stuck in traffic somewhere between Toronto and San
Francisco.

yeah - a vintage M400 with that classic, warm, analog sound.

Perhaps the seller thinks that VI stands for VIntage

John has waited so long to get a Mellotron that he doesn't know what he's
saying anymore. But we allllll understand.

Someone posted a video of some kid playing a blazing guitar recently. Go

Unfortunately, I used some freight consolidator that must
take the scenic route for delivery.

Fortunately, I paid for the M400 before I was tempted by the
VIntage model.

Pachabel's Canon in D. The mother of an ex-girlfriend once
asked me, "Did he write anything else?"

If it weren't for cookie-cutter weddings and movie
soundtracks, I doubt many people would ever hear classical
music.

If you want the world to hear your composition, distribute it
as a free, downloadable, ringtone.
