RE: [QuadtoneRIP] Re: that fixed the error 1722!!!!

2012-03-10 by richard Sullivan

Nick,

After a lot of struggle I finally fixed it. However, one caveat, it may have
been two problems interconnected.

Bottom line. I uninstalled all of the printers by deleting the registry
entries and reinstalled the printers. Voila, up and running. When I
discovered I was not allowed permission to remove a printer driver in the
control panel even though I had ADMIN perm. I got suspicious.

Seems the RPC call was to the printer drivers, not sure of that but this
finally did the fix.

Thanks for all your help.

Hey Dick,

Great news! Glad it worked.

If it hadn't worked, I would have suggested installing another USB card in
your machine (possible if you're using a tower, not so much if you're on a
laptop). Sounded like you had been crashing your USB BUS with too much
plugged in to one port. If your printer is connected via USB, and if your
BUS is crashed, this can affect your print spooler.

But, no need for surgery.

Cheers!
Nick
