Hi Actually I'm using the .quad file made for my RedRiver paper by Paul Roark. I think that the limit was set near 35% globally. When I print tests on Epson Ultra Presentation Matte, I get a bit of over Inking but my QuadTone Rip Ink Pattern Page doesn't shows the mottling. This week I'm battling a lot with my printer; weird results told me that something went wrong (very wrong) between now and last week. Since my prints show "blocking" I went back to printing targets. As you can see here: MHAyyijJJx-nnrbP6XlRmpf-qalk7IZZ-MY0WcpCOb0 the Cyan one is awful and my black is rapidly stopping near the 55 mark although I printed in calibration mode and 30% ink limit. It's a blurred version of the scan (so it is easier to read the lab values in Photoshop) and if you look at picture 1 and 3 in: https://www.dropbox.com/lightbox/home/Photos/EPSON%201430 You can see that I'm in deep trouble. Still searching Thanks for the tips Le 2013-06-27 13:10, Pete Bergstrom <petebergstrom@...> a crit : > Are you limiting the inks when you print with QTR? > > In order to get a reasonable ramp from light to heavy printing, I usually > end up limiting each ink to less than 50% and often 25% when testing my > color printer.
