After several attempts, I have finally gotten this far. I am using an Epson 1430 and a MacPro with 0S X 10.7.5 (Lion) and have installed a Bonjour QUAD1400 printer on my local network.

My problem now is that I can only install two curves: the two that are included in the QTR Profiles folder under 1400-CL. I can print using either of these two. When I try to install profiles from other sources ( e.g.Paul Roark's Claria curves ), I get a message( in part) like this for each of the "other source" curves:
"Creating curve Claria-UPGPP-BO-5Lm025"
"Couldn't open /Library/Printers/QTR/quadtone/Quad1400/Claria-UPGPP-BO-5Lm025.
quad for writing: Permission denied"
This suggests a writing permissions problem, but I have checked this and all the relevant files in the Library have Read&Write access.
I think I have followed the instructions in the Mac Tutorial correctly on page 5 under the Heading "Installing Custom QTR Profiles from another sources". I should note that I placed the Roark curves in the same profile folder 1400-CL with your two and tried several install script names: Install1400, Install1400-CL. I also created a new personal profile folder named 1400-lmf and named the install script accordingly. All with no success.
I'm stuck. Hope someone can show me the way.
