As far as I know there isn't an alternative for PCs. I'll
rertain an old PC running Wiondows 7 as long as possible.
No need to be tied to ancient hardware, that's one of the reasons "emulation" was invented for!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VirtualBox then grab a valid license of Windows XP, make sure you never browse the Internet from within XP, and you're there. Can't vouch for USB but for networked printers (e.g. R3000) it works fairly well...Message
