I'm sorry, but I haven't had coffee yet when I read your post. You are using print tool.... I think there was some point that when you saved the ink step image in Photoshop the box that says save with srgb was checked (your working space?) just open it back in Photoshop, make your changes to the ink sep image and then when you save as... Make sure you don't have the check box with "embed color profile" at the bottom of save dialog box checked. In any case printing in print tool with no color management should ignore whatever embedded color profile embedded is in there and should print fine. (Haven't tested that is a while yet though...)
