Re: [QuadtoneRIP] Re: Custom Curves installation issue

I'm going to sleep on it for now but I cleared out all previous QTR deleted all my printers. Downloaded the latest Epson drivers off the Apple site. Made sure R3000 loaded as Epson printer. Installed a newly downloaded version of QTR which installed in application and allowed me to install QTR3000 as a printer but it did not install in the Library. Ron Reeder tells me if it doesn't load in the Library you are kinda screwed. What is blocking it from loading in the Library? The Epson Stylus R3000 loaded into the Library. I'm sure this is an El Capitan issue that I9;m trying to decipher.

Thanks for the help, I understand the preferences issue and unlocking them for reading and writing,

Peter

Even with the update to the new version of QTR and El Cap I've needed to go into the library/printers/qtrquadtone folder and then into the Quad7000, hit command+i to get info and change the permissions (you will probably have to click the little lock on the bottom right of the get info window, enter your admin password and change the permissions to read and write for. It been a while since I had to do this, but I think I needed to change the quadtone and each of the quadxxxx printer folders I was trying to write to.

Here is an Apple support page about how to do this:

OS X El Capitan: Set permissions for items on your Mac
OS X El Capitan: Set permissions for items on yo...
Permission settings determine who can view and alter files on the computer.
