Don't you remember that funny little piece of flat plastic with a bit of foam on the end that came with your printer...? You are supposed to dampen it with plain old water and then run the paper feed while is rubs up against the paper feed rollers. With coated rag type papers the rollers very quickly become coated with a layer of dust and coating stuff from the coating and become ineffective. A quick clean usually restores them for a while - but it doesn't take long for the coating to build up again and feed problems to recur I think the thicker the paper (and the fancier the coating/price) the worse the paper is for causing this.
