first time curve creation

2017-05-29 by info@...

I'm just setting up a K7 ink set on an Epson 3880. I am following the calibration.pdf from the site and just about to determine the relative ink density levels. This document seems to be about k3 ink level calibration but I'm assuming that the principal will work for 7 cartridges as well, so I guess that was my first question.

I have a question that doesn't appear to have been asked before which makes me think there is something basic I'm not understanding.

The instructions indicate the ink density of each channel is calculated by its relative density when compared to the proceeding channel. Should I be reprinting and subsequently rereading the calibration target after modifying the ink level of each channel? The instructions don't say to do this but my instincts tell me I'll be turning in circles if the relative ink densities are not fixed values.

Thanks

Paul
