I have printed positives with 2880 without banding on a P800 (banding was present at 1440). I did not notice any difference printing with 2880super, as mentioned before, it takes about twice as long to print.
I do like the 2880super for digital neg printing, it results in a slightly higher density.
When making your profiles, make sure to always use the same resolution setting for printing.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
