Hi Rafe, The R800 and R1800 printers are somewhat different than all the other printers and inks. These printers have only one black ink -- i.e. no light-black but compensate by having the smallest dots 1.5pl. So while most printers do well at 1440 dpi with the R1800 you probably need to use 2880dpi. You'll have to decide for yourself if it's up to your standards.
