Bob,

Sounds like the cartridge air hole is clogged.   Sometimes the pulltab
doesn't come off completely.   Pull out the cart, gently separate the
two halves.  Then poke a hole where the pulltab was.  Re-insert,
do a clean cycle and I bet you'll be up and running.
