QTR-Quadtone RIP

Hey all-I am trying to get K7 inks up and running with QTR on a Windows 
machine. Nozzle tests show clear, test subjects are 8-bit grayscale 
tiffs with good tonal range.  I am trying for a good proof on Epson HW 
Matte and have so far had terrible posterization in tghe mid-tones.  

Any hints?

Also does anyone know why, when I place a 4x6 image on the bottom half 
of a page in QTR it insists on printing upside-down on the "top" half 
of the page?  A 4x6 image printed on the "top" half of an 8.5x11 page 
prints correctly.

It's all a mystery.
