The Atkinson profiles are for 76/9600 & don't work well on 4000. I can't understand "running costs for a 4000 will be at least half that of a 4800 for the predictable future." The capital investment is higher than a used 4000, & there will no doubt be a number of the latter; but the running costs shouldn't differ. Why do you think they would? I suggest you reappraise this point & wait to see what results folks get with their 4800s in Advanced BW Mode. So far we have very little info because they don't ship with matte black ink & it's hard to come by.
