Re: Roller marks with QTR but not Epson driver

2008-06-17 by djon43

Richard, What paper? Ink or Epson pigment?

Here's a fantasy/guess: perhaps paper is wet for a shorter time with
Epson driver vs QTR, making surface delicate longer.

Here's real experience: You might try elevating paper immediately at
the the exit rollers...not just lifting the tray... a paper box that
happens to be about as high as the exit rollers solved that problem
for me, when using an otherwise mark-prone fibre paper...the idea is
to prevent paper that's still damp/fragile from having to arch
downward onto the plastic tray...

You might also compare back loading to top loading...

The two tricks together have allowed my 2200 to print some of the
newer fibre papers without mars/roller-marks.
