Just this weekend I have discarded a 2100 after two years with the UT3D inkset. In those two years I have mainly fought air traps not so much clogs. Both result in bad nozzle checks but their nature is different. These air traps occured always after a cartridge refill (and therefor removing and replacing the cartridges). In my case 2-3 cleaning cycles did the job. In bad case cases simply waiting overnight also helped. Having said the above, recently I got very severe clogging. I attribute that to repeated leaking from the spongless cartridges I had (not from MIS but from mandev.co.uk). I tried the following procedure: http://www.marrutt.com/epson-2100-support.php I must admit that tn my case this didn't help. As alternative it was suggested to me to replace the isopropanol by ethanol (alcohol) or simply methylated spirit with a touch of ammonia. Head cleaning fluid should be similar to this mixture. I also tried to fill an empty cartridge with this mixture. Unfortunately, my 2100 was too far gone. So we parted this weekend.. Hope you have more success.
