I'm not familiar with the mechanics of the 1400, but to the extent that the exit rollers are like 2200's, this may help: Add 1" (or whatever approximates the height of the paper when it leaves the exit rollers) to the exit platform. I do this simply by laying a photo paper box on the reception tray. The problem has to do with the way the paper bends on exiting...reduce or eliminate the last bend and you may eliminate the flaws. I struggled with pizza and other marks on some of the pseudo-silver semi-gloss and gloss papers, was told by the marketing director of one of the best manufacturers that this was inevitable with 2200 and even 2400...but I instantly eliminated the problem with that simple fix. Unfortunately, that fix won't eliminate 2200's B&W bronzing :-( --- In QuadtoneRIP@yahoogroups.com, "pixelphoto2005" <pixelphoto@...> wrote: > > Last evening I was doing some test prints with QTR and I thought I detected a dotted line > across one of the prints.
