Thank you Walker. I will look at the B/W forum. I have not done any darkromm printing/toning to speak of. But I really enjoy the possibilities with mixing my own inks and toning options independent of past darkroom techniques - just getting a visually pleasing effect that harmonizes well with each paper white. I find that is the key, i.e., print hue that complements paper color, rather than fights against the paper color. Without QTR, Epson is a less compelling option than the newer Canons (and perhaps HPs).
