Dear QTR users. Today I re-installed cups from source on my intel iMac and it fixes the problem with no other errors. This is how it's done on intel 64bit machines. 1. Get a free developer account with Apple. 2. Download xcode and install. 3. download both source files (1.4.4 and 1.4.5) from cups.org (www.cups.org) 4. Un-compress the files and open the Terminal app. 5. Type: cd and a space and then drag the 1.4.4 folder icon over the terminal window and hit enter. 6. Type sudo ./configure --arch-withflags="-arch i386 -arch x86_64" 7. sudo -B make install 8. Type: cd and a space and then drag the 1.4.5 folder icon over the terminal window and hit enter. 9. Type sudo ./configure --arch-withflags="-arch i386 -arch x86_64" 10. sudo -B make install 11. Restart your computer. This works for me. It might sound a bit complicated, but it seems to work and (if you already have xcode installed) you can get it fixed in about 10 minutes. I experimented with building a .pkg installer for an easier fix, but I think the method described above is safer. Hopefully 10.6.6 update will fix this problem. All the best, Walker [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
