Thank you Roy For the kind reply. All I can say now is that I would avoid Lion for at least half a year...maybe more depending on your attitude toward big corporations. I reverted....I reverted back to 10.6.7...I am relieved and all is now ok. I am confident that Apple mucked up my system with one of the last updates to 10.6....but it is running clean once again now...after reverting back to a stable system. Check out the new Dark Star campus that Apple is planning on Building...and make your own conclusions. http://www.engadget.com/2011/06/08/steve-jobs-reveals-apples-new-spaceship-campus-calls-it-the-b/ Phil --- In QuadtoneRIP@yahoogroups.com, Roy Harrington <roy@...> wrote: > > Hi Phil, > > I have not actually tried Lion yet but I have read most of the info available. > > The main thing that I know of is that the new OS is Intel chip only > i.e. no support > for old PPC programs.
