QTR printer driver has quit working.... even after reinstall

QTR printer driver has quit working.... even after reinstall

2013-03-03 by James Stewart

Folks, I've had this problem before but can't recall how I fixed it.
System: Mac OSX Lion testing QTR printing to an Epson 9600Pro and an Epson R2400. Custom curves created and tested for both printers.
Problem: When testing recent curves on the Epson 9600, the QTR printer driver suddenly failed. The Epson R2400 driver has remained functional. Reinstalling the Quad9600 driver and curves did not restore QTR RIP functionality.
Explanation: When I go to Print (CMD-P) the print dialogue box opens, I select QUAD9600, and under the "Layout" window, where I should see "QuadTone RIP" and "Printer Features", I do not. When I do the same for the Epson R2400 printer, I do see "QuadTone RIP" and "Printer Features"

So for some reason, my Quad9600 QTR printing is disabled. I've completely uninstalled and reinstalled, and I've booted my Mac, but that didn't fix the problem.

Any ideas how to fix?
Jim

Hi

I have the same problem here for my Epson 1400 with MIS ink, I rarely print
matte, and it's only for matte I've been using QTR, but today I got a cpl
of new profiles to test, and had to install QTR again. After installation I
run the setup script for 1400 MIS, but then in the end I dont get the QTR
settings when I select QTR-1400 as printer when I want to print... they're
just not there!

I've reinstalled, manually deleted all old files, rebooted, reinstalled
again, simply gone!

I'm on Mac OS X 10.7.5.

Would be great to get a quick answer to this one, I really would love to
test the new profiles! Probably it's just a simple stupid mistake I've done
or something.
