Help with ink being laid down at pure white

Help with ink being laid down at pure white

2005-09-30 by brigsby707

The agony and the ecstacy . . .

Best prints ever, sans adjustment, but this time, the 0%K, white areas
of the image are being covered with about a 1-2% K when I use the
QTR-ICC profiles. Anyone have an idea if I'm doing something wrong
with profile creation or is this maybe a bug? Doesn't change either
if I try to use a different rendering intent. Also, when I don't use
the profiles, and just the QTR curves, the white seems to be mapping
correctly, ie: no ink.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Update:

Uninstalled 2.3.1 and reinstalled the beta. Recreated the ICC files
from the same data and the problem is gone.

Hi Eric,

Interesting. What workflow are you using?
I.e. PC or Mac?
How are you applying the profiles?
If its a PC are you using any programs beside Photoshop?
Can you email me the data file and icc's.

Roy
