Hi there,

Apologies if this is a basic question but I just got an Epson 3880 and downloaded QTR. I am wanting to try out the following Hahnemuhle Papers:

Photo Rag Ultra Smooth
Photo Rag Satin
Photo Rag Baryta
Photo Rag Pearl

Do I need to find "curves" for these papers somewhere, in order to use QTR with them? If so where do I find them?

It looks like the only paper that has a premade profile for the papers you mentioned is the Baryta "UCpk-PRBaryta-warm-2880" If you look in the Profiles.3880-UC you will see the papers with premade curves.

If you're on a Mac: Running the install script in the profiles folder will create the "curves" or the .quad file that is actually used when printing.

If you are on a PC: you might need to first open the profile you want to install and then save it to create the .quad file (not exactly sure off the top of my head since I haven't spent too much time installing premade profiles on the PC side)

Do you have a densitometer or spectro that you can use to create your own profiles or linearize the existing "UCpk-raw-warm/cool/neut" profiles?

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
