In my view, given the history, it's a question of when rather than if.
Since there's no sign of refillables for it yet, there's less pressure, as you'd only be using QTR for K3, not K7 or Eb.
Given the apparent similarities between it and the 3880, I'd suspect that you could just tell QTR that it's a 3880 and it would work, although whether the curves would be accurate (linear) for K3 inks given the deeper blacks is not clear.
I have a P800 and have communicated with Roy about this. As the driver is reported to be similar to the 3880 he suggested setting it up as a 3880. Everything works until I come to print. It seems the paper feed paths are different. Roy is going to have a look into it - I gather he's been traveling so it still may be a week or so before he has a chance to investigate further.
