I have been using QTR on Win 8.1 and now 10...it seems to run the same on both OS's. It seems to save the profiles okay for me and in the right places...even though it seems like it's hanging with the busy cursor spinning...just close the curve creation window after saving. I can also view the curves... If you right click the curve name in the dropdown list under curve setup on the main window, you will get a "Show Curve 1 Graph" option which when clicked on will show the curve graph... and if you leave the graph window open as you select different curves in the list... the curve will change accordingly so you can see, for example, differences in similar curves or recently changed curves...don't forget to save as using a different name each time or your original curve will be gone. The new download doesn't seem to fix any of the issues that were in Win 8.1...they are the same in Win 10. Only difference seems to be the added printer support... for me it was running the same regular and in Admin mode(same issues with curve creation tool)...but when I switched to admin the curves I created were gone and had to be recreated.

Greg.

Which is to say...
you MUST run it in administrator mode;
it will not save curves or really anything into any of the default QTR folder. I save them to the desktop and then move the file to the proper location;
it will not display a curve.

If anyone can do these things I'd love to hear how you do it.

Win 7 also does this.

When writing manual curves, the "Point List" "Curve Preview"; is one that I would miss. I assume that is gone in Win 10. I can probably use this approach as a "better than nothing" substitute.

Thanks for letting us know this works. That's rather a relief to hear.

A potential issue with the new Windows operating system might extend to any printer driver updates that might be necessary.

Some have pointed out that updating printer drivers on the Epson printers might make such printers difficult or impossible to use with third party inks.

Have those who updated to Windows 10 found it necessary to update printer drivers for their Epson printers ( other than the 800 ) and if so, are there any issues with the Cone or Eboni inks?

Updating drivers should not cause problems with 3rd party carts. But on no account should you update the printer firmware. Nor should you install Epson software that offers you the option to keep your printer up-to-date automatically because this will update the printer firmware and may well cause the printer to stop accepting 3rd party carts, if some reports that I've seen are correct. Be very wary of software installs from the CD. Generally I download and install only the latest printer driver and no other Epson supplied bloatware.

Thanks for the great information Brian. Much appreciated…especially by those of us who are a bit older and not completely comfortable with various operating systems and the implications of migrating from one operating system to another.
