Install 2.7.7.0 but QTRgui still says 2.7.0.0

This is on a Windows 10 machine. I've tried to install 2.7.7.0 to replace my 2.7.0.0 but it always comes back as 2.7.0.0. I've installed it with Admin privileges and even uninstalled the previous version and reinstalled. I always see the warning that 2.7.7.0 is available. Is this a problem or just a bogus warning?
