QTR-Quadtone RIP

I am getting some strange behaviour when printing on 13 inch roll media using QTR and Print tool on both my epson 4000 printers. 10 inch and 17inch roll media however prints normally, but not 13 inch roll media.

QTR2.7.7. Mac OS10.12, Print tool 2.1.1, Epson4000 (x2), Epson9900

Media: 13 roll InkPress transparency Media, 17inch roll Pictorico OHP roll 10inch roll EpsonPremLuster.

Quad4000: 13 inch roll media extra 5 inch leading margin

When I print digital negatives on 13 inch roll media using QTR and print tool, both my epson 4000 printers add an extra 5 inches of media before they start printing. However when I load 17 inch roll media or 10inch roll media into these Epson 4000, QTR/print tool prints with a normal leading margin. (no extra 5 inch)

Media Preset Problem... ?

I thought it might be something to do with my 13inch media 'Paper Preset'.

However when using the same 13 inch 'Paper Size' preset on my Epson 9900 with QTR/Print tool on the same roll of media, I get a normal leading margin.

And...

I downloaded the current Epson 4000 driver (ver 9.33)

Using the same 13 inch 'Paper Size' preset above, on the same 13 inch roll media the epson 4000 printers print with normal leading margins.

So it doesn't appear to be a media preset problem

Has anyone else experienced this?

From the above I am beginning to suspect if it is a QTR driver problem.
