QTR-Quadtone RIP

Have anybody tried to use this or similar 4 color tank printer with QTR and turn it into b&w? I know that some people uses L1800 as previous Epson Stylus 1400. This printer is way cheaper and based on the specification it is similar (only the number of inks is lower).
