R2400 UC K3 profiles

2006-08-09 by Kevin Bradford

I am still trying to set up at least one new QTR profile and create an ICC to use for soft proofing with that profile. Is there anyone out there... anyone... who has experience in creating profiles and icc files for this printer that is willing to share their knowledge. I hope I'm not the only one trying this particular setup.

I've been working on some profiles for the 2400 (with OEM inkset) for
my three main papers (Ilford Smooth Pearl, Innova F-Type Gloss, and
Hahnemuhle Photo Rag). I basically followed the instructions in the PDF
user guide, and I'm using an Eye One Spectro for measuring the
calibration targets. It's been a slow and tedious process creating the
custom curves, but in the end I think it will be worth it (especially
for the rag paper, where linearity in the shadows is a huge problem
with the Epson driver). I'll post the curves to the group once I'm
finished, hopefully in the next few days.
