QTR printer Jeff Curto in LensWork Magazine

QTR printer Jeff Curto in LensWork Magazine

2005-05-14 by Jeff Curto

It is with great pleasure that I am able to announce that a portfolio
of 20 of my photographs is featured in the current issue of LensWork
magazine. LensWork is a high-quality, national-circulation bimonthly
devoted to fine black and white photography. The work shown is from
my ongoing project of photographs of Italy, and is reproduced in
beautiful duotone on LensWork's pages, doing a great job of
reproducing the tonal range I get using Roy's amazing QTR software
(thanks, Roy!)

Issue #58, May/June 2005 is now available at Barnes & Noble and
Borders bookstores or online from LensWork's website.

You can download a sample PDF of the issue here:

Or see some of the work on my website:

Congratulations Jeff. I just got my copy. Its my very favorite photographic related magazine (though I don't consider this a magazine really--I keep all of them and enjoy them over and over). Really wonderful work--

Hello Jeff,

I just bought LensWork yesterday and poured over it. I open the magazine (if that's the
right way to describe LensWork) to your section first. I love architectural photos and
wanted to see those first. And now here you are on the QTR message board...small world.

Wonderful job balancing shapes and tones!!! One reason I get LensWork is to learn from
others. I'll study these shots and...hopefully...things will sink in. Thanks for being teaching
me to see better.

By the way, I also loved the photos from 1949 Los Angeles. What a great story they told.
