Custom size Epson 4000

Custom size Epson 4000

2005-05-14 by Andrew Unger

It was just reported in the 4000 Epson Group that if you switch off
the Auto Paper Size check on the printer you can print with smaller
than letter size. I just attempted to print on a 5x7 inch cardstock.

Unfortunately, the QTR Custom Paper sizing wouldn't take anything
smaller than 7x7 for the 4000. The print went through the printer,
but with 7x7 the positioning was all wrong and part of the image was
omitted. I hope that Roy or Steve will be able to permit selection
of
sizes smaller than 7x7. If this can get fixed, my 1160 will be
history.

You can try fixing this yourself. The paper sizes are in the PPD file. Look for
"ParamCustomPageSize". The units are in "points" or 1/72 inch. Change the first
number in the par for Width and Height.
