image size used to expand in QTR and a question on QTR warnings.

hello,

i remember using QTR a year ago, and the images would expand a little
bit. (instead of 8 inches QTR would render the image a little bigger
than 8 inches).

but now QTR renders the image 8 inches. thanks, now its really easy
to make a precise portfolio.

i still wish there was a setting to override the warning that pops up
saying the image is too big for the paper. i like formatting my
images as letter size in photoshop... then having QTR printing on
letter size without complaining... QTR seems to like a .15 inch
leeway. making a custom print that is a little bit bigger than letter
size won't cut it since the formatting will be probelmatic.

(right now in order to even batch the prints without having warnings
on every print is that i reduce the canvas size in photoshop by .15
inches on each border so QTR won't complain... is there a better way?
(i wish to avoid the step of reducing my canvas size in photoshop to
save a little time)

a comment on IMAGEPRINT RIP versus QTR.
on large prints, i outsource my images to a nice man that uses
imageprint and k3 inks to make lovely black and white images. however
i noticed that at acute angles, the midtones shift colour (to brown)
on the imageprint images. my QTR images using ultrachrome don't shift
colour at acute angles however. both images look good however.

thanks,
fred

Your wish....

QTRgui version 2.4.3.9 is now uploaded to the QTRgui WEB page. It has a new
Option (in the options menu) called No Warning Notice. Checking this option will
suppress the "OK" dialog that comes up when there is an image issue. You will
still see the RED warning panel next to the image.
