Hi Ken,
I have a setup pretty close to yours. I'm using Epson 1280, K6 inks,
and the QuadToneRIP with QTRgui.
First, what version of QTRgui are you using? There is a later
version than what you download at Inkjet Mall. Look for the .23
release at http://www.sbillard.org/Shareware/QTRgui.htm
Second, it's not clear what you mean by compressed to the right. Do
you simply mean that the print is coming out non-centered? Or are
you saying that the dimensions of the printed area are smaller than
you expected?
There is nothing special you need to do to get centered prints other
than checking the "Centered" checkbox in the Placement section of the
QTRgui screen.
Let me know how your prints are coming out. I have a calibrated
monitor (I use the Optix XR device) that I trust. However, I find
that for my prints on Epson Enhanced Matte paper to match what I see
on screen I need to set the Ink Limit Adjustment to 40 and the Gamma
to 7. If I don't do this the prints come out much lighter than what
is on my monitor.
